There are a number of partnerships that Hisaar Foundation has helped create among the various stakeholders:

Karachi  Water Partnership (KWP)
Established in 2007, the Karachi Water Partnership (KWP) is a citizen driven initiative aimed at partnering with the city government in solving the water related problems and challenges faced by the city. KWP has the distinction of being the first Urban Water Partnership of its kind in the world. It is recognized by the Global Water Partnership as a model for megacities and is supported by International Network for Capacity Building in Integrated Water Resources Management (CapNet).

Women and Water Networks (WWNs)
Hisaar Foundation is the host organization of WWN Pakistan since 2001. With over 250 members and several chapters across the country, WWN Pakistan has emerged as a powerful voice of women in the water sector, highlighting women’s problems, perceptions and needs.  Hisaar Foundation has launched several WWNs at Karachi level:

Small Town Water Partnerships

An Area Water Partnership (AWP) has been functioning in Layyah, a small agricultural town in southern Punjab, since December 2009.

Rural Water Partnerships
Two water partnerships (District AWPs) in the rural districts Umerkot and Jamshoro in Sindh have beenfunctioning since March and June 2010 respectively.   Smaller taluka AWPs was launched with the view of testing the AWP model and norms at the grassroots level. These are in:

Dialogues and Engagement

Lobbying with Government
Hisaar Foundation works at different levels to interact and dialogue with government officials to expand its programme for conservation of water, better management of all water uses and water and sanitation infrastructural rehabilitation.

Engagement with Media
Hisaar Foundation has a regular programme of engagement with electronic and print media and has traineda wide range of journalists, anchors and programming staff to report on water in a more informed manner.

Engagement with Educational Institutions
This includes academic seminars and conferences in universities, technical institutions and colleges and awareness raising sessions in schools at different levels.

Engagement with International and National Organizations
Hisaar Foundation is a member of several water related and civil society organizations and collaborates proactively with them on Integrated Water Resources Management, water conservation and environmental issues:
